We finished up the March birthdays with my baby girl, Eden turning three. She celebrated her birthday this past weekend with a Fairy Garden Party, and let me tell you, she was SO excited! She has literally been waiting for her birthday since last August. I mean, down to the details. I’m not exactly sure how/why she became so obsessed, but I was all in when it came to making it memorable. We decided to keep it small and celebrate at our house with family and friends.
Fairy Party It Is
Eden has been talking about a tea party for the longest, but I really think she’ll appreciate that when she’s a little older. We both decided a fairy theme would be fun! I wanted the space to feel girly and whimsical, she also noted that she wanted pink and purple everywhere. So, let the planning begin! I have never planned a party this fast, and I attribute that to newborn life! lol. I kept it very simple and used my go-to vendors, and I also had a lot of the decor items on hand. I have all the details listed below, hopefully you can use as inspo for your next event!
Styling and Decor
For this theme it was all things pink, purple, fairies and butterflies. I really needed to bring in the garden vibe, so I got a faux moss runner from Hobby Lobby. I thought our exposed wood dining table went perfectly. I also purchased the cage for the fairy from Hobby Lobby as well. We put ivy as the backdrop for the dessert table and also had it hanging down as you entered the room. For the table we used paper plates, cups and napkins that were right on theme. I thought it was so cute that the cups came with butterflies on them. I purchased mini fairies from eBay and spray painted them gold. We put this along the table runner and scattered throughout the dessert table.
Dessert Table
Eden wanted a tea party initially, so that inspired me to just put tea cups on the table! These tea cups were thrifted a couple of years ago. We put the mini fairies throughout the table to bring the theme together. For the cake and cupcakes I added edible butterflies to them, and to me they looked real lol 🙂 I was in love with the cake, it was ombre inside and out and tasted amazing!
Party Fun
We had face painting and balloon twisting at the party! The kids loved it. Eden had so much fun at her party with all of her friends. From the moment she woke up and saw her party space to the end of the evening, the happiness she expressed was priceless! Thank you to our family and friends for celebrating with us!
